First update:" hi lisa. Thought you might like an update on our pup - she was very good on the way home & dozed all the way, apart from having a shoe lace chewing episode! She howled all the first night - and we really mean all night, and has been very calm the rest of the time. She's taken a liking to the doorstop in the kitchen & keeps biting & barking at it, then running away - its very funny to watch, especially when she gets overexcited, & her tail goes into a jughandle shape, & she runs madly round at 100mph! She's got lots of toys, and the lamb is her favourite & get carried everywhere - waterdish, food dish & bed, but will get very excited if she can get her teeth into anything that she's not supposed to have, and has learned to use her paws like little hands & will try & catch things with them. The cats are completely disgusted by her prescence, and although she's seen them lots of times & wagged her tail lots, they don't want to know her yet. She's met mums dog, and although she wanted to make friends (after hiding behind me to have a look at her first) Emmy refused to acknowledge her - when fudge sat next to her, she got a frosty shoulder! She's been enjoying the garden (vet said it was ok), and collects leaves, twigs, & bits of grass & carries them round very proudly - she even managed to bring us a large twig which was about 3 foot long! She's also been very interested in the pond & we've had to stop her from dipping her paws in.
She's eating, drinking, playing, & pooing very well (too well on the pooing front!) & has had a quick check over by the vet - who thinks she's wonderful - all the vetnurses said to leave her with them, and after a third night of intermittent howling, I nearly took them up on it! How can something so small make such a dreadful noise??? She's met lots of people & is always delighted to see them - she has a very waggy tail & turns into a little spring - bouncing all round their feet until she's cuddled. When we collected her, you mentioned that she was 2.7kg - well, as of yesterday, she weighs 3.3kg, and still has her porky little belly" |

"Fudge is doing really well & is still terrorising us with her "million miles an hour" dash round the house whn she wants some attention. She's exceptionally cheeky but extremely good natured & smart. "
