"Fudge"

"Fudge" is a Standard F1 Apricot Cream Labradoodle. Born as "doodledogs' Houdini" in summer 2004. He is HUGE! His brother Bobby is a Hearing Dog.

Much bigger now than he was when he left us...

We called him "Houdini" when he was a pup because he had us baffled for weeks how he managed to escape the puppy pen......

The pen is nearly 2 foot high and absolutely puppy proof, but he would escape it in seconds and go sit on the sofa and laugh at us when we walked back into the lounge. One day determined to discover his secret escape routine we hid and waited.

It is amazing how clever this dog is (when it comes to mischief). He would run, get a leg-up from Dobi and Bobby his brothers then shimmy up the bars, balance perfectly - then swing his hind quarters over and he was out - it took under 5 seconds. Pure Genius!!

Fudge is currently awaiting a doodledogs brother or sister to join him once his training is more advanced. We usually recommend 1-2 years between puppies joining the family.

He is now friends with doodledogs' Colin, who lives near him.

Fudge is a standard, if this is too big for you then consider a medium or a mini.

"Thanks for your message. We are all fine and Fudge is doing great! I have attached some recent snapshots of him to add to your gallery. Fudge is a wonderful HUGE family dog and loves the children, who have hours of endless fun with him. Training has been essential and he still has lots to learn (like not stealing the butter from the barbecue table and smashing the dish on the floor in horror at being caught!! .....that was just yesterday). He loves to socialise and as you know has made great pals with Colin, Curly's son, who I must add is such a handsome chap. He has also learnt to avoid others who are not quite so keen on his boisterous approach!! I receive many comments from passers by on how lovely he is. He is a digger and our garden now looks more like a miniature golf course with many many bunkers!! He is also a great swimmer and often joins the children jumping the waves in the sea".
