We recommend Eukanuba Puppy & Junior Large Breed for both medium and standard sized labradoodles until 12 months old. Because labradoodles tend to grow quickly in spurts, they have specific nutritional requirements.

Basically Eukanuba supports their immune system with antioxidants (vitamin E), promotes a thick shiny coat and healthy skin (Omega-6, Omega -3 fatty acids), contains beet pulp for healthy digestion and nutrient absorption, contains a specially formulated carbohydrate blend to manage blood sugar levels, contains glucosamine and chondroitin sulphate to promote cartilage strength and healthy joints, contains reduced fat levels and L-carnitine for weight control and contains a combination of minerals to help dental care and prevent tartar. It is a 100% complete food however personally during the very early weeks we add a special blend of doggy milk formula and ground meat (add warm water), and a couple of scoops of Pedigree Chum Puppy. I have never met a puppy yet who doesn't love this smelly mix! By 12 weeks though pup should be able to manage dry complete food and should not receive any milk product (ignore all protests) due high protein content.

How much to feed?
The amount you feed is carefully worked out with a Eukanuba dispenser so the exact nutritional needs are met but pup does not grow too quickly during a critical stage. If you are feeding anything in addition to Eukanuba (tinned meat, table scraps etc) then you need to reduce the figures below accordingly. Please do not exceed 25% of the diet from elsewhere as it would be almost impossible to ensure a balanced diet.

Eukanuba can be bought in 1kg, 3kg, 7.5kg and 15kg bags. We only sell the 15kg bag and they cost £36 when collected from us. Retail RRP is over £40. We can organise delivery but the postage/packing is extra. We can provide the dispenser (it is not in the bags so don't throw it away!)

BARF diet
