Shaven Curly !!!

Curly does not shed and as such his fleecy coat needs regular maintenance and grooming. Sometimes we let him grow it long but eventually when it becomes unmanageable we shave it off for his comfort and my sanity. Under all those curls is crushed velvet which is incredibly easy to care for, provided it is kept short.

This cut below used a 7F blade and the face and ears are shaped as round. Do not shave their faces, but use a pair of grooming scissors and a slicker brush. There is no "top-notch" like a poodle, or shaped ears. Feet are not shaven but simply trimmed. The trick with wool/fleece doodles is to shave them regularly and get the dirt out with a slicker brush (on a dry coat), before you add water/shampoo. I like the Wahl concentrated shampoo/conditioner range (you can get them from us if you warn us in advance) - particularly the one called "Dirty Beasties" which just about summed him up pre-shave!
