Introducing "Bunnie", a chocolate medium labradoodle (Labrador x Curly)
First update - "Hi Lisa, I've attached lots of photos of Bunnie for you. She was a star on the journey home, we had to stop to pick up some food and she didn't complain at all. She spent the journey sleeping on my lap and looking out of the window. Night times are good, she cried a little the first two nights but since then has been no trouble at all. She now takes herself off to her crate if she is tired or brings out the vetbed to snuggle on the floor. We are using a playpen too, I pop her in it mid morning so she can sleep or play whilst I'm doing bits around the house. I would definately recommend it, it keeps her out of trouble! She loves her food and knows when the porridge is coming, although we are running out so there could be tears soon. She is a well behaved pup, not too chewy yet and can be easily distracted with toys. She loves the garden and eats everything in it, without exception. Toilet training wasn't as bad as I thought it would be! It took only a few days and now she will even sit by the back door to let us know. We've had a few accidents but, of course, all my fault for not paying attention.
She isn't bothered by the usual household noises, even the lawnmower and strimmer just got a lick. I know she is going to love water, she's been in the paddling pool and when I'm filling a bucket of water she gets both front paws in and tips it up. Can't wait for her reaction to the beach and sea this summer. She's had her second injection and we are now venturing out. Of course everyone thinks she is beautiful and she tries to greet all passers-by on our little walks. She is a bright little pup. She has learned sit/stay/down and we are working on stand and heel. Puppy training went really well last Sunday. It's a small class. We joined half way through the course so that I could get her socialised as soon as possible. All the other puppies are older than Bunnie and when it came to playtime she had to bark to get their attention so she could join in, the instructor said she was "very confident"(!) The children are helping with the training which they love. Thanks for your advice, it is definately working, I haven't had to growl yet! She has really grown, I don't know if you can see by the pictures. She is now 5kg (12 weeks) and her feet look a lot bigger. Her coat is growing slowly and is quite whispy around the edges. Bunnie is such a wonderful little dog to have around, she has really settled well into our family. You said she was cheeky - we are so glad you have been proved right! Thank you for all your help and advice, and a beautiful puppy. I'll keep you posted on her progress"
