Introducing Barney, a medium black Labrador x Curly

First update - "Hi Lisa, Sorry it has taken so long to send you some photos, but we have been rather busy!! Barney is wonderful with a real character. The journey back from South Wales was a long one, and he behaved beautifully. We have had our regulation trips to the vet for his vaccination and flea-treatment, and he is eating well. He is now having three meals a day, using the Hill's food and Pedigree puppy sachets as an enticer. Barney enjoys playing in the garden, and has taken to doing a bit of gardening himself,  weeding, pruning and relaying turf with great skill. If there is a twig or a weed we have missed, he finds it!

The photographs show his progress to date - from the journey home to selecting carnations for his garden patch, formerly known as the lawn. If you want to use any of them for the website, please do so. Is the quality OK, because I have used a compression program to reduce the size a bit? I could send them on a CD if you like? We have had him out on a lead a few times, and he has impressed one or two folk by sitting beautifully at the kerb-side whilst traffic goes by.  He responds well to his name, and enjoys playing with his toys. ( He has also tried my grand-daughter's mini-trampoline!) He is clearly a talented climber, and the extent to which he has grown is measured in all of the places he can now reach that he couldn't  a week or so ago. He clearly enjoys IKEA furniture, taking advantage of Lucy's mini-armchair when no-one is watching.

There are definite signs of Curly's colour emerging around Barney's  nose, and elsewhere in his coat, and his 'beard' is taking shape, as you can see from the later photos. All in all, hard work but very much worth it. Thank you, and we'll be in touch with further photos soon
